Summer in Madrid - Claustro de San Geronimo.

Last Monday evening I decided to go for a walk and capture the wonderful light of Madrid in August.
Most people go away and the traffic slows down....the colors are vibrant and clear and as the sun goes down a magic glow touches everything, softening things.
Near my place is El Prado Museum and behind it this beautiful old building which has been renovated and it is now part of the Museum.

Paris

Staying at Cite des Arts with Australian choreographer Clare Dyson. We did a performance together last Sunday called The Voyeur . It was about revealing aspects of ourselves we don´t normally reveal to people. The audience was the voyeur and could watch the show from outside our studio. They had the choice of listening to recorded texts, or listen to the music that was played for the general public.
They also had a pair of binoculars to have a closer look and read the text we wrote on our bodies.
The performance went for 30 minutes.

It was my first visit to Paris and as I revealed parts of myself to others this fantastic city slowly revealed itself to me. It would take a life time to get to know this rich and complex society well, but even a small taste has left its trace in me.

I am fascinated at how different cultures express themselves and create their own ways of doing things, from high artistic expressions to the mundane aspects of their lives.
One thing I loved about Parisians was the amount of people I saw, sitting alone, quietly reading, totally undisturbed.
A treat to the senses
